A Message from the Code Enforcement Office
Please take the time to be considerate to your neighbors. Your neighbors might have to
use your sidewalks to get to work, store or school. If someone accidentally falls on your
sidewalk you would be liable for their injuries, so please take the time to shovel your sidewalks.
Ordinance 343-1: Removal of Snow from the Sidewalks
Each resident, occupant, or property owner or operator shall remove from the sidewalks abutting their respected properties all accumulation of snow and ice within a period of 24 hours after a snowfall which permits an accumulation of the snow upon the sidewalk and/or permits and enables formation of icy conditions and shall maintain such sidewalk in clear and passable condition free from icing obstruction from snow.
